The subconscious mind is the key to freedom from self-limiting beliefs, unhealthy habits, and anything that is keeping you away from the life of your dreams. Working to change on a subconscious level is simpler than you might think.
Ways to actively shift your subconscious
- Protect Your AM & PM Routine: Your subconscious is most accessible in the morning and before you go to sleep, so create routines for these times that support and encourage your goals. We created a Morning Glow Routine Downloadable GUIDE for exactly this reason! During these AM/PM times, engage in meditation, breath work, play, creative practices, writing, and reading while avoiding phones, TV, media, scrolling, and screen time in general.
- Practice Positivity: shift from focusing on the negative, complaining, and frustration towards visualizations that feel good. This doesn’t mean avoiding your true feelings - it is important you give yourself the time and space to feel difficult emotions fully so you can compassionately process and release them. The emphasis here is to shift out of narrow, circular thought patterns that keep you stuck in your head. Dive deep into your imagination and curate an experience that engages all your senses, which helps the subconscious mind believe and align with a different reality. Catch yourself when you are focused on the negative with an alert like "Stop. Focus." And then a redirect like "Love," “Relax,” or “Compassion”.
- Meditate, meditate, meditate: research shows meditation affects our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Meditating regularly provides the tools to become more aware of your thought patterns, creating distance from them and helping your respond to those through patterns from a more conscious, and less reactive state. Meaning, you can more easily shift out of negative thought patterns, unhealthy or counterproductive reactions, or living within the reality created by self-limiting beliefs. Meditation can help you exercise letting go, loving kindness, present-moment awareness and other techniques to strengthen neural connections and rewire your brain. As the saying goes "neurons that fire together, wire together." Meditation keeps new, healthier neural pathways strong and prevents you from going back into your old thinking. Overtime your new pathways become your new way of being. Check out Allison's free meditation here.
- Practice the Kaliks Collective Embodied Emotion ritual. Download the GUIDE for a process that helps you use your emotions to drive a goal, vision, or affirmation into your subconscious mind. This is a key element of the NeuroEmotional Reprogramming Sessions that Allison provides to clients in 1:1 healing sessions. You can practice this ritual on your own to help you begin the process of building new neural pathways that support you in realizing the changes that you seek.
