  • Spearmint « Like peppermint and other herbs in the mint family, Spearmint hosts a vast amount of medicinal properties. Most commonly it's used for digestive issues and respiratory disorders while also beneficial for minor aches and pains like headaches, cramps, sore throats and nausea. Spearmint contains anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antispasmodic, antiseptic, antimicrobial and circulation enhancing properties. 

    Burdock Root «Gentle and effective for treating inflammatory skin issues, clearing toxins and reducing inflammation. Burdock Root provides a cleansing action for the liver, blood and lymph but is also very nutritive and gentle enough for daily use. It can also be used as a food and is ideal for reducing heat and inflammatory conditions.

    Tulsi «Also known as holy basil and considered the most sacred plant of India, Tulsi is highly praised for its ability to calm and relieve anxiety, strengthen immune health, reduce inflammation, and balance cortisol and blood sugar levels. Emotionally, holy basil brings balance and creates connection with the world around us. Its fragrance is all consuming and te flavor is pleasantly sweet. It’s akin to meditation in a cup!

    Gota Kula « Mostly known for its brain-boosting benefits, Gotu Kola also has an affinity for the skin and circulatory system. Research suggests that it increases mental function, reduces anxiety, and improves circulation. As for the skin, it’s a smart remedy for strengthening and healing connective tissue and collagen. It’s cooling, bitter and sweet in nature promoting mental calm and clarity. It seems to work internally and topically used as a tonic-over a period of time with long term results.

    Red Clover « In the herbal world, we identify Red Clover as a top alterative (restores proper function), lymph moving and “blood purifying” herb. The skin and lymphatic system are closely connected as they both are means of detoxification. Using the flowers internally (tea) and externally (steam or bath) can help a range of skin conditions–like eczema, psoriasis and acne, by reducing toxic burden within the body.   • As a daily tea, add 1 rounded tablespoon to 8-10 ounces of near boiling water. Steep covered for 5-10 minutes. Strain. Slow down, sip and enjoy.

    As a face steam, cleanse face first. Add 2 tbsp to a heatproof bowl, and cover with 2 cups fresh filtered boiling water. Steep covered for a few minutes. Place towel over head, and steam face for 5-10minutes. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply, enjoy the pleasantly warm steam, and calm your mind. The hot steam will open your pores while the fragrant herbs will penetrate deep into your skin to purify, nourish, and heal.

    Follow with Cleanse -> Renew as a mask or Balance -> Glow facial oil.

    You can strain the remainder to add to your bath. Always use caution around hot liquids.
